Terms and Conditions for Membership

Welcome to NCL Alumni Association (“Association”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your membership registration and use of our website nclalumniassociation.com (the “Site”). By registering as a member or using our Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms.


1. Eligibility for Membership

  • Membership is open only to former students, researchers, faculty, or staff of [Institute/Organization Name – e.g., CSIR-National Chemical Laboratory].

  • Applicants must provide accurate information during registration.

  • The Association reserves the right to verify details and approve or reject membership applications.


2. Membership Registration and Fees

  • A one-time membership registration fee of ₹5,000 (Indian Rupees Five Thousand) is payable at the time of registration.

  • The fee is non-refundable except in cases where the Association declines the membership application.

  • Payment must be made through the authorized payment gateway available on the Site.


3. Membership Benefits

  • Access to the Alumni Member Directory (subject to approval).

  • Participation in events, reunions, and networking opportunities organized by the Association.

  • Access to newsletters, announcements, and updates.


4. Approval of Membership

  • All applications are subject to email verification and administrative approval.

  • Membership shall be considered active only after approval by the Association.

  • The Association reserves the right to revoke or suspend membership in case of misuse or violation of these Terms.


5. Code of Conduct

Members must:

  • Provide accurate personal and professional details.

  • Use the alumni platform for networking and professional purposes only.

  • Not misuse contact information of other members.

  • Not engage in abusive, defamatory, or unlawful activities within the alumni community.


6. Privacy & Data Protection

  • We collect and store personal information for the purpose of alumni registration, communication, and event management.

  • Member details may be displayed in the alumni directory (accessible only to approved members).

  • We will not share your information with third parties without your consent, except as required by law.

7. Refund & Cancellation Policy

  • Membership fees are non-refundable once the application is approved.

  • If an application is rejected, the membership fee will be refunded to the applicant’s original payment method within 7–14 working days.


8. Website Use

  • You agree not to misuse or attempt to hack, disrupt, or exploit the Site.

  • The Association is not liable for any technical issues, downtime, or loss of data.


9. Limitation of Liability

  • The Association shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the Site or participation in alumni activities.

  • All activities, events, and networking are undertaken at your own risk.


10. Amendments

  • The Association reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time.

  • Continued use of the Site and membership after changes implies acceptance of the updated Terms.


11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in  Pune, Maharashtra.
